TriEnda LLC, one of Marion’s newest manufacturing plants and one of Marion’s personal economic development approaches, has been featured in three major publications this past month. The publications featuring the article were International Economic Development Council e-newsletter, Plastics News and in Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick. TriEnda, a manufacturer of heavy-gauge, single- and twin-sheet thermoformed plastic for the material- handling and packaging industry, recently opened its new Marion plant for production in January of this year.

“We are pleased to have TriEnda in our community and it has been incredible to watch them flourish,” shared Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold, who was a major leader among the community officials who assembled the aggressive incentive package for TriEnda that attracted them to the Marion city of 32,000. TriEnda was one of the top five manufacturing projects to choose Indiana as a location during 2008.

Suzanne Bingham, Vice President of Bingham Economic Development Advisors LLC, was the article’s author.

Agricor, a Marion dry corn milling facility with an investment in cutting-edge and high-speed bagging equipment, was also featured in the March 2009 issue of Power and Bulk Engineering Magazine. The article was later reprinted in INPACK’s (Inside the Packaging World of Premier Tech) biannual journal this past June. “It’s been wonderful to get such detailed coverage in the journals of one of the experts in our field. We hope this article can be used as a tool to continue encouraging expansion in Grant County,” stated Steve Wickes, Agricor’s president. Agricor was a recent June recipient of the USDA Farm Service Agency 2009 HUBZone Contractor of the Year award.
