The IT Academy helps students explore options available in the IT industry. It hopes that during the exploration process, students will learn about the many opportunities available in IT and find an area in which they feel most comfortable.

Tucker IT Acadamy believes in the importance of industry certification programs. Industry Certification programs are developed by IT industry leaders and insure the delivery of relevant, quality instruction to students. Certification also creates a "standard" for IT educators and helps to eliminate duplication of classwork as students move from one school to another.

Students focusing on an IT cluster are provided with a comprehensive to do list of IT content standards and proficiency builders. The IT Academy is optimistic as they initiate work to implement a program that meets the expectations, needs and abilities of their IT Academy students.
