Veriana Networks, Inc. announces Global Headquarters and operating subsidiaries to be built in Marion, Indiana

MARION, Ind. (Oct. 30, 2007) - Veriana Networks, Inc. announced today its plans to build a new global headquarters for Veriana, its subsidiaries and other future businesses here, a move that the company projects will create more than 280 technology jobs by 2012.

The company, which specializes in technology, media and risk management for the entertainment industry, will site its new global headquarters on 252 acres adjacent to Interstate 69 and Highway 18.

“We are pleased to locate our new home in Marion, Indiana,” said co-founders Rob Swagger and R. Ross Cooper. “Numerous factors weighed in on our decision to select Marion, including the key support from the City, the Economic Growth Council and State leadership, along with the low cost of utilities, availability of fiber optics, city wide WiFi network, and the resources of the many universities. Marion is a geographically, technologically, and economically strategic location. Purdue, for example is one of the universities that has formed a partnership with Veriana in providing technology jobs for those educated in this rapidly emerging field. It is terrific to be a part of providing “onshore” jobs verses “outsourcing” as is often done in this field. Veriana will demonstrate the model for corporate “on-shoring,” said Swagger.

The current portfolio of Veriana Networks companies starting operations are: Media Derivatives, Inc., Impression Mobile, Inc., V-Studio, Inc., Swoop Adcasting, Inc., and View Village, Inc. Each company functions as a stand-alone entity allowing flexibility and management opportunity to maximize the potential for revenue and job creation.

“Veriana has the potential for exciting and rapid growth,” said Governor Mitch Daniels. “Its offerings are on the front edge of technology. We are excited about the potential it holds to employ the graduates of our best universities and keep them close to home.”

Along with the new global headquarters, additional businesses will be housed in a “Life Style” community on the 252 acres featuring many amenities desired by technology companies.

“I was profoundly impressed by Marion and Mayor Wayne Seybold,” said Cooper. “I had the privilege to spend time with him on numerous occasions as well as with Governor Daniels in Japan recently. Our business relationship is strong and their leadership is fantastic.” Cooper who founded the San Diego based technology company, Verimatrix, Inc., will serve as President of Veriana. Industry veteran and former FOX executive, Lindsay Gardner, will serve on their Board of Directors and as an integral part of the leadership team.

“Marion is proud to be chosen as the site for such an exciting, dynamic new development. The jobs and economic growth potential provided by Veriana Networks, Inc. to our City and our State is wonderful,” declared Marion’s Mayor, Wayne Seybold. “It is also nice to welcome home co-founder of Veriana, Rob Swagger, who was born and raised here in Marion, and I would like to thank him for selecting our City for their new global headquarters - Marion will embrace and help facilitate this new venture.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation will support Veriana Networks with performance-based incentives upon the company securing financing. The City of Marion is considering property tax abatement, and the Grant County Economic Development Council assisted in the effort.
